For the sixth consecutive season the Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens will battle on the opening night of the NHL season. The entire schedule has yet to be announced, but the league released the dates for all 30 home openers Saturday and confirmed games will kick off the 2014-15 season on Wednesday, October 8. The Leafs open the season on Oct. 8 at the Air Canada Centre against the Canadiens, while across the country the Calgary Flames host the Vancouver Canucks at the Scotiabank Saddledome.
